The beach of Neo Kouri, as seen from the pier, excluding the "Faliro" center, which was located in Katirli
Description
The first venue on our right was "Faliro", owned by Panagos, which was later renamed "Rio". It was an open space, which the older generations referred to as "Baira" or "Bairaki".
Next was the "Avra" Café, owned by Maniatis, which was later transformed by his son, Stavros, into a dance club called "Pussycat". This was the venue where the band "Olympians" performed, featuring the well-known singer Paschalis.
Adjacent to it stood "Faros Tavern", owned by Lazaros. Below Faros, there was "Palirroia Tavern", run by Giannakis, which included a traditional wooden pergola (Tsardaki).
Further down, beneath Baira, was the "Sykes Tavern", owned by Gonatis, which also had a Tsardaki right by the sea.
